Monday Check-In

Monday Check-In

Training has been going great! Three miles on Wednesday. Four miles on Friday and then on Saturday, Ariana and I ran six miles in the cold wind and snow. I even made it to the gym for a weight training class on Friday and felt great! The only downside to this is that it feels like my family has been fighting one cold after another all winter and we just can’t seem to kick them. I’m not sure if the extra workouts have been wearing me down and contributing to this. I know I’m not getting enough rest, but it almost seems impossible at this stage in life. Tuesday evening, Todd and I were planning to go to the gym for a 5:30 class and somehow eat a packed dinner and make it to our church business meeting by 7. At 5 o’clock, with Camilla crying and Adrian still napping, I made an executive decision to forego the gym. Definitely the right choice. I am not running my kids into the ground for my own physical fitness goals. It takes some real planning to fit in the extra training, but it seems to be working. I’m hoping to increase my runs at home to 4 miles this week, but we’ll see if that happens. It’s just a matter of time constraints. Oh, and the Facebook thing. Yeah, I need to work on that. Anyone want to follow me around all day and slap me when I stop at my computer? Applications welcome.
