The Food of October, Part II

The Food of October, Part II

Camilla wanted to make a pumpkin pie–and not from a can. A real pumpkin pie. I hate to admit this, but it was my first time. I was a pumpkin virgin. But it was amazingly easy and delicious.

Glad I just cleaned my oven!

You can use the seeds, too!

I think we started another fall tradition!

I want to live at YOUR house, Alison 🙂 You all have been busy and happy and blessed! Happy birthday and lots of love to both of your babies. Your vow to hold Adrian as much as possible sounds familiar… the perspective of having an older child helps us cherish moments with our younger child(ren) in a new way. Which is kind of good b/c the first child gets all of that awe and the wonder of being the first – so it balances out a bit. You're such a good mama. Love, Dem

Well, I don't post much about my bad mama moments. But, thank you. Love to you and yours, too! And you can come live at my house any time!

The pie looks amazing! Success! Great Job to the two cooks! And your cake decorating projects all came out wonderful as well. Clearly love is the main ingredient and therefore never fail. I love all of the pictures but especially the one of you and Camilla together on her birthday. You two should be on the cover of some parenting magazine. Beautiful. That picture radiates love!
    Hope to see you soon!
    Pauline
