An old friend of mine went to the hospital last week with preeclampsia. She was only 26 weeks pregnant. On Saturday night the baby had to be delivered. He weighs only 1 lb. 1 oz. My heart just breaks at the thought of beginning motherhood this way. Every time I hear about premature babies, I realize I should never take for granted the fact that my children were born at 39 and 40 weeks. Please lift up Leah Rooney Keefer, her husband Josh, and their baby. I don’t know his name yet, but he certainly needs our prayers.
