Happy Birthday, Todd!

Today is Todd’s 34th birthday. Since I’m now twenty weeks, we had our “Big” Ultrasound two days ago. Let me first say that I absolutely love having a girl. Girls are wonderful and Camilla is the sweetest, most precious girl ever and so much fun to be with. So, I knew it would be fine if we had another girl. But part of me hoped we’d get to experience having a boy, too. Still, I knew that God would give us just what we needed. Somehow I expected to hear the same thing we did last time, and the baby just looked so cute on that screen. I was shocked to hear the tech say, “It looks like you’re having a boy!” Now, she qualified it saying ultrasounds are 80 per cent accurate, but, um . . . let’s just say it was pretty obvious to the tech and to us that this baby is a boy! You can’t tell in this shot, of course, but I thought I’d just include it to show everyone how cute our baby boy is.

We don’t wait to find out what we’re having, but we keep the name secret (once we decide on it). So, everyone else can be surprised about that. And we don’t have to hear (or see) any opinions until it’s too late! It was so exciting to find out we’re having a boy. Todd was happy to hear he has a son, so this was a great birthday gift for him. Yay!
