Of Books and Babies

Of Books and Babies

I’m attending the Montrose Christian Writers’ Conferencethis week, enjoying a refreshing breeze after a week of sweltering humidity. I’ve carried babies for three summers of my life, and this is the hottest I remember. Four years ago, when I was pregnant with Adrian, we had a coolish, rainy summer. This summer—not so much.

I could go on forever complaining about pregnancy. Or expressing my utter awe over the creation of new life and the role I’m blessed to play in it. I do not take that lightly. On the heels of every complaint comes the realization that this is a privilege I wouldn’t trade for the world.
It has been difficult, though, to focus on anything . . . so, my blog has fallen a wee bit behind. And I have been woefully delayed in reporting anything regarding my book, let alone my life.
I wanted to pop back onto the Internet with an announcement, in case you haven’t heard.
I’m sorry. I couldn’t help shouting (and singing and dancing) about that one! The digital version actually released a few weeks ago. I announced it on Facebook and Twitter, but I thought it was worth mentioning here as well. So, if you’ve been waiting until you could get it on your eReader, wait no longer. The time is now!
If you’ve already bought One Traveler, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Read it. Enjoy it. If you have time to write a review for Amazon or Barnes & Noble, I would be thrilled (especially if it’s favorable). Tell your friends about the book. I am grateful beyond words. You are my tribe.
