A Grateful Heart

A Grateful Heart

Sorry for the pictureless posts. I’m using my Sister-in-Law’s computer and had a few moments, so I thought I’d grab my window of time to post on this Thanksgiving Day. I have so much to be grateful for. As Todd’s and my tenth wedding anniversary approaches, I find myself reflecting on the past ten years. On Thanksgiving Day 2000 I don’t think I had any idea what was in store for us. My marriage is more of a blessing than I ever imagined. I hope to revisit this subject in more depth in the coming week. I have the two most beautiful children ever, and whenever I get discouraged or overwhelmed with the unending task of mothering, God has a way of reminding me how precious and unique each of them is. I recently started running again, sporadically, and this morning as I chugged up the hill to our house at the end of my four miles, I was so grateful for a healthy body, legs that do what I ask them to. But more than any of that, this Thanksgiving I am thankful for the peace that enables me to enjoy all of these blessings. In this moment God’s grace and love is very real to me. And for that, I lift up my heart in thanksgiving.
