The Year the Christmas Tree Fell Over and Other Stories . . .

I just thought that would be a good title for a book. Our Christmas tree did fall over, five days before Christmas. Several cheap glass ornaments broke, but no serious damage was done. We set it back up and tied it to the window frame. Christmas seemed to go on and on this year. Perhaps I should say, Camilla’s opportunities to open presents were never ending. They started two days before Christmas, when we got together with Todd’s parents and his brother’s family. Camilla trying to escape some of her crazy cousins!

On Christmas Eve we went with my family to the church Todd and I grew up in, New Life Community Church. I love their candlelight time at the end of the service. Then we went back to my parents’ house for the traditional eggnog and cookies–and more presents!

Christmas morning at our house was my favorite part of the day. The three of us had a relaxing morning under the tree, opening gifts. After that we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. It was fun to see Camilla enjoy everything. She really got into saying, “Merry Christmas!”

That would be a great title! So when does the book come out? Hope you enjoyed your Christmas to the fullest. We tried to honor the holiday and each other to the fullest. The grandparents made sure Rowan got his dose of consumerism, though 🙂
